Question 1

What is a processing credit?

Accepted Answer

Processing credits are used when Quizessa processes a new document. A document up to 10,000 characters uses 1 credit, up to 25,000 characters uses 2 credits, and up to 50,000 characters uses 3 credits. You always see the cost before processing.

Question 2

What happens when I run out of credits?

Accepted Answer

You can still study all your existing documents with no limits. You just won't be able to process new ones until your credits reset at the start of your next billing cycle. Need more right now? Buy a credit pack, or upgrade your plan for a higher monthly allowance.

Question 3

Can I try it without creating an account?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Click "Start Studying Free" and you'll get a guest session instantly, no email, no password, no forms. Upload a document, study it, and see how it works. If you want to save your progress, register later and everything carries over to your new account.

Question 4

What file types can I upload?

Accepted Answer

PDF (including scanned ones), Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), plain text files, and photos of your notes (JPG, PNG or HEIC). With a free account you can also import a YouTube video that has captions. Quizessa works best with clear, readable study material.

Question 5

Can I use it in any language?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upload material in any language and Quizessa creates questions, flashcards and explanations in that same language.

Question 6

Can I upload a full textbook?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Upload full textbooks, manuals or review guides, on any subject. Long documents are split into focused parts so each section gets better, more specific questions, flashcards and progress tracking. Each part uses credits independently (1 to 3 credits depending on size) and takes a slot in your plan's active document limit. Guests are limited to 50,000 characters; creating a free account unlocks uploads of any size.

Question 7

How does adaptive study work?

Accepted Answer

Adaptive Study selects each question based on your performance. It gives more attention to topics you are missing, brings back topics you are already doing well in from time to time, and gradually raises the difficulty as your performance shows you are ready.

Question 8

Are study sessions really unlimited?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once a document is processed, you can run unlimited study sessions on it, Adaptive Study, Exam Simulator, and Flashcards, with no caps, no timers, and no extra cost. Credits are only used when processing new documents.

Question 9

What happens to my documents?

Accepted Answer

Your documents are processed to generate study content, then stored securely in your account. We don't share, sell, or use your materials for anything other than generating your study content.

Question 10

Is there an annual plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Pro costs $8.99 per month, or $89.90 per year, which works out to two months free. Both include 50 monthly credits, 30 active documents, image analysis, and unlimited use of Sabi, the AI tutor.

Question 11

What are credit packs?

Accepted Answer

Credit packs let you buy extra processing credits on top of your monthly plan. They start at $4.99 for 15 credits. Unlike monthly credits, pack credits never expire, so use them whenever you need them. Available on all plans, including Free.

Question 12

Is there a limit on document size?

Accepted Answer

No hard limit with a free account. Documents up to 50,000 characters (about 20 pages) are processed as a single unit. Anything larger is automatically split into parts, and each part is processed as its own document with its own questions, flashcards and progress tracking. Splitting long material into focused sections helps Quizessa generate better, more specific questions for each part. Guests are limited to 50,000 characters; creating a free account unlocks any size.

Question 13

Why does the system split large documents?

Accepted Answer

Splitting long material into focused sections helps Quizessa generate better, more specific questions and flashcards for each part. You also get per-section progress tracking instead of one large mixed deck.

Question 14

How good are the AI-generated questions?

Accepted Answer

The questions are structured from basic recall to critical analysis, so they test real understanding of your material rather than random trivia. Quality depends partly on your source document: the clearer and more detailed the material, the better the questions.

Question 15

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. Cancel from your account settings whenever you want, and you'll keep access until the end of your billing period. And the free plan is always there, no expiration, no credit card required.
